The Barn currently has a four star gold rating, plus a breakfast award from Visit England. Since opening, we have consistently scored 9.8/9.9 out of 10 on guest reviews on Booking.com. We score 5/5 on all guest reviews on Expedia, on TripAdvisor and on our own website.

2016: Both shop and Barn were shortlisted as North Of England Finalists in The Countryside Alliance Awards and gained ‘Highly Commended’.

2017: Both shop and Barn were finalists in the inaugural Yorkshire Post Rural Awards and again gained ‘Second Place’.

2018: The shop and Barn were awarded ‘Best New Business’ by Deliciously Yorkshire. Judges comments were : ‘This business is clearly run with a passion to celebrate what local environment and community have to offer. We were so impressed with the couple’s pace of innovation and their commitment to excellence. A great entry and a fantastic business.’’

2019: Visit England Recognition of Service Excellence Award (ROSE Award: Awarded to only 100 hospitality venues throughout England)

2019: Winner of the White Rose Awards – Best Bed and Breakfast in Yorkshire.
