General Terms

Arrival And Departure

Check – in is between 3pm and 7pm. (Arrivals after 7pm only by prior arrangement please). Guests are welcome to arrive before 3pm to leave luggage and are welcome to wait in the lounge/ dining area where hot / soft drinks and home made cakes/biscuits  will be offered as a complimentary service (whether a room is ready or not ready at time of arrival). Books / games will be available whilst waiting. (There is also a downstairs toilet facility.)

Check out time is 10 am Monday to Friday and 11am Saturday and Sunday. Luggage can be left with us for later collection at no extra charge.

Booking Deposits

A non refundable deposit is required per room at time of reservation by phone or online on our website with the remainder due at time of check-out . Payment is by cash or debit/credit card only please. (No cheques can be accepted).

Smoking

Please note that the Barn is completely non smoking throughout at all times. Smoke detectors are fitted in all rooms. Any damage to rooms caused by smoking will unfortunately have to be  charged to debit / credit  cards. Guests who do smoke in the building will also  regrettably be politely requested to leave.

Smoking is of course  permitted in the courtyard immediately outside the building.

Cancellation

For cancellations made up to 14 days before your stay , there will be no extra charge . (Deposits are however non refundable as stated above). For cancellations made after 14 days prior to your stay, the full room charge will be made.

Damage and Breakages

We reserve the right to charge your debit/ credit card for any breakages or damage to The Barn and its contents which amounts to more than £25  (including eg. irreparable soiling of mattresses, bedding and carpets) whose replacement value amounts to more than £25 in total.

Replacement of lost keys will need to be charged at £15.

Under certain circumstances it may unfortunately be necessary to charge guests for replacement door locks (ie. if keys can not be located) to preserve the safety and security of future guests and their property.
